We believe in sustainable tourism that leaves the smallest possible footprint on nature while making the greatest impression on the visitor. We work with local suppliers, support nearby farms, and involve the people from the surrounding area. The food we serve comes from the hands of people we know.

At the same time, with every step we take, we care for energy efficiency and the preservation of the nature around us.

We support nearby farms and suppliers from our surroundings. We bring fresh, seasonal ingredients with a known origin to the plate.

Without plastic and unnecessary transport

We consciously reduce the use of single-use packaging. Our materials are natural, and the journey of food and products is kept as short as possible.

With nature, not against it

With environmental sustainability in mind, we choose local ingredients, use energy efficiently, and rely on natural materials.

Reducing the carbon footprint

We encourage emission-free exploration by offering regular and e-bike rentals, while guests also have access to an electric vehicle charging station.

Kozjansko Park – a natural gem under UNESCO protection

Kozjanski dvor is located in the heart of the protected Kozjansko Regional Park, which covers 206 km² of natural diversity. The park is part of the Natura 2000 network and the UNESCO Kozjansko–Obsotelje biosphere reserve. It is one of the oldest and largest protected areas in Slovenia.

Here we protect ancient orchards, thermophilic forests, and preserved meadows. For us, nature is not just a view. It is a value we live by and safeguard every day.

Most of Kozjansko Park belongs to the Natura 2000 natural habitats, and since 2010 this landscape has also been officially recognized as part of UNESCO’s natural heritage.

Pristine nature and rich plant diversity

The park boasts rich biodiversity and is home to more than 1,200 plant species, including the meadow orchid and over 100 varieties of apples known as the Kozjansko apple.
